What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files containing a string of characters that can be placed on your computer or mobile device to uniquely identify your browser or device.
What Are Cookies Used For?
Cookies allow a site or service to know if your computer or device has visited that site or service before. Cookies can then be used to help understand how the site or service is being used, help you navigate between pages efficiently, remember your preferences, and generally improve your browsing experience. Cookies can also help ensure that marketing you see online is more relevant to you and your interests.
What Type Of Cookies Do We Use?
Session Cookies
We use a session cookie when users login. When you login to Zepforge Portal, you provide your username (email address) and password. For security reasons, we don’t want to use this information for each new page you look at. To avoid this, we use a session cookie. A session cookie lets us know you have logged in with valid credentials and ensures that you only view/edit data that is valid for your account.
Google Cookies
We also use Google cookies for tracking analytics and users. User details are anonymized, meaning Google Analytics does not let us know the names of individual users. We use analytics so that we can monitor and improve the service we provide. For example, if certain pages consistently provide problems for users, this will be highlighted, and we can improve the user interface to provide a better service.
WE DON’T USE COOKIES FOR ADVERTISING
